From September 2017 every family will be eligible for financial childcare support for any child aged between 6 – 36 months in full or part-time Tusla registered childcare.
These include CCS Targeted Supports, Universal Subvention, ECCE and Training & Employment Childcare.

TEC – Training and Employment Childcare Programmes
The purpose of the TEC programmes is to support parents returning to eligible education schemes or eligible parents returning to employment to access affordable subsidized childcare. The Department of Children and Youth Affairs (DYCA) will fund the majority of the place and the parent will pay the rest.
CCS – Community Childcare Subvention:
The Community Childcare Subvention (CCS) Scheme operated by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs (DCYA) provides access to reduced rate childcare for parents in receipt of social welfare or low incomes.
After- School Childcare Programmes (ASCC):
The ASCC is administered on behalf of the Department of Social Protection (DSP) and provides afterschool care for primary school children for certain categories of working parents and parents on DSP employment Programmes (not including Community Employment).
